KT82 Training – Week 8

This week was kind of so-so but I did have a run I was encouraged by that I’ll get to. Saturday was a beautiful day, sunny and in the low 60s. I got in a 4.1 mile run. However, my pace was at 9:04, a bit slower than I would have hoped. However, I had a good run the day before so perhaps I wasn’t rested enough from the previous day. My Sunday run was a better pace at 8:38.…

KT82 Training – Week 7

This may end up being the most unique week of training for the KT82. I attended a conference in Scottsdale, AZ early in the week so I did things a little differently this week. On Saturday, we had 12 degree temps so, instead of doing a longer run, I ran three miles. It was just really cold and a little windy. My wife and I flew to Phoenix on Sunday morning (2/14). We arrived at our hotel around 2:00 in…

The sun was out, which helped a lot. My pace ended up being around 9:33 but my goal was to stretch out myself and do a long run. I ran three miles on Sunday before church. This was probably the worst run of the week. I didn’t…

Those are the days when you just have to press on. Those are the days when you want to strangle the first empty-nester that tells you to “enjoy these days,…

KT82 Training – Week 5

I turned 41 on Saturday and ran 4.2 miles. However, it was not as easy as I’d hoped it’d be. My pace was over 9 minutes per mile and though it was my longest run to date, I’d hoped it would have been faster. On Sunday I ran three miles before church, also at a pace over 9 minutes. This run was one I was to share with our team as part of our monthly goals. Monday was a 4-mile…

056 – Drawing from Your Experiences

Show Notes Fun Times with Dad: Playing Bananagrams with Emma. In this episode, I talk about how we can use our experiences in our parenting. Wisdom is with the aged, and understanding in length of days. ~ Job 12:12 ~ Each year we get, not only another year older, but also another year wiser. We can draw from experiences we had as kids to help us in parenting our own children. I share an experience I had when I was…
