On June 4, 2016, I ran the KT82 Trail Relay with five great friends. Our team was G6* because we had two subs running in place of two G6 members who were unable to participate.
The KT82 was a challenging relay which I started training for in January. We registered way back in November. I love doing these types of events, especially the team events where you are working together to accomplish a common goal.
This relay represents what the G6 is all about really…working together as a team toward a common goal. That goal is our pursuit of Christ as we look to lead our families toward Jesus. It is a blessing to have these men in my life.
I’m often reminded of Philippians 3 when setting goals:
Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal that also to you. Only let us hold true to what we have attained. – Philippians 3:12-16
